Not far from Locals, the historic Frankfort Avenue is home to a new culinary adventure. Serai is a Southeast Asian eatery that's set to open its doors in the space once occupied by DiFabio's Casapela. Chef Sebastian Moh brings a unique blend of flavors from Malaysia and other parts of Southeast Asia, creating dishes that are both familiar and exciting. 'I want to give people a taste of the region, but with a twist that's uniquely Serai,' says Sebastian, who is also a local resident. 'We're here to stay, and we hope to become a part of the community just like everyone else.'
In the background, the sound of construction is a constant reminder of the ongoing work to bring the area back to its former glory. The Milestone Wellness Center is a hub of activity, with staff like Nancy Romanus working tirelessly to keep the place running smoothly. 'Nancy was a true community leader,' says a colleague, 'her spirit and dedication are what make this place so special.'
