Meet Lindsey
You + Me Kentucky was born from a deep love for small towns, local stories, and the people brave enough to build something of their own.
After owning a small business for years, I learned firsthand just how much heart exists behind every storefront, market booth, coffee shop, restaurant, and handmade product. Small businesses are more than places to shop — they are dreams, families, late nights, risk, creativity, and community woven together.
I also know the heartbreak that can come with it.
After pouring everything I had into my own business, I eventually had to close the doors. Walking through that season opened my eyes to how many small business owners are quietly carrying the weight of trying to keep their dreams alive — often without enough visibility, support, or resources.
That experience became the seed for You + Me Kentucky.
This platform was created to celebrate the heartbeat of Kentucky’s small towns by helping people discover the places, people, stories, events, and locally owned businesses that make each community special. Whether you’re exploring a new town, planning a weekend trip, or simply looking for somewhere meaningful to support, our hope is that You + Me Kentucky helps connect people back to the soul of local communities.
Because behind every small business is a person who took a chance on a dream.
